My name is Daniel Rosenthal
I am a missionary working with the organization YWAM and I also am an up and coming musician who wants to not only reach people directly with my service work but also with my music. My biggest goal however, is to be always listening to God, be where He is calling me, and do what He would want me to do.
My Story
To introduce myself a little more, I'll give some of my testimony here. I believe that being raw and real with people is valuable so I will share some key points hopefully without oversharing. So to get to my story, I was born and raised in a town called Arlington and grew up going to to church. My family and I were always involved in helping out with church functions, events, and hosting people at our home to serve them and give them a place to eat and have fellowship. This life of being with God and serving others has been very foundational to how I live my life: serve God and others with the love that God first gave to us. Now my life just like yours, hasn't been without highpoints and struggles. I've had wonderful friendships, opportunities that I thought were unimaginable, and been shown incredible kindness, love, and respect. There also have been times in my life where I almost walked away from my faith, have had human failures or sins, caused great offenses, struggled with self-worth and nearly took my own life. In spite of my struggles and my lows, what I truly want to highlight is how good God has been. God has never failed me or let me down. Not to say I have never been disappointed, but what the Bible says about God's unchanging character has proven true for me. I hope that you all will continue to join me in my journey with God as I now step out into full-time ministry as a missionary reaching out into the nations and serving here at home as well.
What I do now
The work that I am currently involved in is training up new missionaries and those who are looking for direction in their faith journey through YWAM's introduction class called DTS or Discipleship Training School. This is a program that teaches a whole Bible overview and trains people in interpersonal skills like conflict resolution and how to connect well with others. This school also takes the students out to evangelize, serve the community, and work with churches in their missions at home and overseas. This program runs for about 6 months.

In addition to this, I will be working through a six-month advanced leadership training program. This school will further equip me for training others as well as making opportunity for me to deepen my relationship with God. This program will overlap with the DTS that I will be helping to lead this fall and so will be keeping me extra busy, but in the best ways.

Furthermore, I will be participating in community service projects with churches, evangelism, and worship ministry for different events and venues. I especially hope to be involved in worship and hands-on works projects such as automotive, construction, and upkeep of the different places where I will be serving.

Regarding my work with music, I hope to have an album released to Spotify by the end of next year. This is a large project for me as I am not only writing but also will have to find a studio to record in and then do the editing and producing myself. These are all new things to me so it definitely will challenge me greatly but I believe this is something that God has put on my heart to pursue.
